What are the stages of digital technology endorsement application?
There are two main stages
Stage 1: Endorsement
In this stage you fill the application for endorsement and submit it to the endorsing body.
The endorsing bodies assess your application based on the eligibility and skills and refer it to the Home office whether to be considered further or not.
For endorsement applications, you first need to register for a Global talent visa application from the official website and then fill the tech nation application form.
Stage 2: Application for visa
If the endorsing body approves your application, then you can make the application for a global talent visa within 3 months time. The Home Office will decide on your application within 3 weeks if you are outside the UK and 8 weeks if you are applying from within the UK.
What should be my application for: exceptional promise or exceptional talent?
Exceptional promise category is for those who are beginners in their careers and have the experience of 5 years or less. The persons in this category are said to be the emerging leaders.
Whereas, an exceptional talent is someone who has a significant amount of experience and has achieved remarkable results through his/her work. You may choose to apply depending on your work and experience
What are 2 types of applicants?
There are two types of applicants, business and technical.
Business applicants: these are the people who have proven expertise or achievements in the field of development of digital products or innovations. They can be experts in sales, product development or CEO’s.
Technical applicants: these are the people who have proven expertise and achievements in building technical infrastructure and framework by using technical strategies to achieve significant results.
What are the documents that I must showcase?
You must meet one mandatory requirement and two optional requirements.
There are a total of 10 pieces of evidence that you must showcase for the same includes, your CV, 3 pieces of letter of recommendations by senior persons from your work. The letter of recommendation must include the reasons how you would benefit from living and working in the UK and what contributions you will make in the field of digital technologies in the UK, proof of digital technology business or working as a senior member.
Does this lead to settlement or ILR?
The global talent visa is a direct route to settlement in the UK. The visa is granted for 3 years for exceptional promise candidates and for 5 years for exceptional talent candidates. You can apply for ILR after 5 years.
What is the fee for the endorsement, application and ILR?
The endorsement application costs £456, whereas the Global talent visa application fee is £152.
The ILR application costs you £2,389.
