Yesterday, on 10th April 2017, Kings XI Punjab played it effortlessly easy on Royal Challengers Bangalore, a match that was frolicked on the sixth day of the Indian Premier League. Kings XI Punjab served up an outstanding performance and defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight wickets.

RESTRITING GIANTS ON LOW SCORE

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and fixes on to bat. Bengaluru reposed its West Indies actioner Chris Gayle and played South Africa prominent player AB de Villiers in his place.
The match started and the excitement of the spectacular audience fueled up by a sparkling comeback of AB de Villiers in KXIP’s home venue of Indore.  AB de Villiers’s unbeaten 46-ball 89 was bedecked with nine sixes and three fours that brought up the score to 148/4 after the unwavering bowlers of Kings XI Punjab eased the score to 22/3 in the first five overs. The audience was overwhelmed with a dazzling entertainment as out of those nine sixes, three had hit the roof at deep mid-wicket. AB de Villiers ends up to 89 runs after delivering two more sixes. RCB sets a score of 148/4 for Kings XI Punjab. To think, at 16 overs, AB de Villiers scored 89 runs off 46 balls and took the RCB to a decent total of 148 in 20 overswhen RCB was stuck just at 80/4. It was only for the terrific performance of AB de Villiers that yielded 68 runs in the last four overs.

CHASING DOWN TOTAL WITH EASE

 Kings XI Punjab marches on to the field to chase the target set by Royal Challengers Bangalore. MananVohra (34) and Amla (58) with their stout partnership gave Punjab a fleeting star, divvying 62 runs off 35 balls. The opening wicket was taken by Tymal Mills, who lbw Manan Vohra in the sixth over. Vohra had successfully laced his batting with four boundaries and a six. HashimAmla scored another marvelous 50 of 32 balls, having hit four fours and three sixes, and remained not out till the end of the match.In the sixth over, after Vohra being sent off the field, the new man Akshar Patel could only score 9 runs. He was clean bowled by YuzvendraChahal in the ninth over. However, it didn’t affect the Kings XI Punjab’s run chase as HAshimAMla and Glenn Maxwell remained in the pitch until the glorified KXIP’s win.  Glenn Maxwell remarkably smashed 43 runs off 22 balls having sent the ball off the boundary through three fours and four sixes.  The partnership of Amla and Maxwell, had their foot rooted on the accelerator, and dexterously succeeded in playing the ball of the boundary. It was yesterday’s match itself where Glenn Maxwell completed his thousand runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kings XI Punjab recorded their second win of the match as they won the match  by a margin of  33 balls to spare, crossing their target in the 14.3 over itself.
