This vast golf club takes four hours on foot or by powered golf carts.

There are plenty of places in which you can hike in San Ramon. The most popular is Las Trampas Regional Wilderness which includes a trail for hikers and horseback riders to enjoy away from the city. This park is spread out over 5,342 acres and is the perfect place for listening to the birds and looking at wildlife.

Avid animal lovers may prefer the Bishop Ranch Regional Preserve which is located near the San Ramon Valley subdivisions. If you’re looking for a quieter getaway, this is the place for you. The Preserve is where you’ll come across deer, turkeys, and red-tailed hawks. Once you get to the top, you’ll see epic views of the Tri-Valley area that you’ll want to soak in for a few hours.

The Forest Home Farms made a commitment to preserving most of San Ramon’s historical buildings, landscapes, and structures. This 16-acre farm was donated to San Ramon by the Boone Family.

Both of these museums are perfect for visitors who want to explore the rich history of one of the richest cities in America. You’ll get a taste of what it’s like to live in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Visit a Public Park

The city of San Ramon has access to over 50 parks. There are parks for everyone in your entire family. For example, there are family-friendly parks like Central Park on Acosta Boulevard, where they host a summer concert series. Central Park is newly renovated and now includes giant play structures that allow kids to climb robes, climb walls, and take part in activities with other kids their age.

San Ramon is just a short drive to each of these areas. It’s also close proximity to ski resorts further north and beaches along the coast. You can walk along the sand and take part in water sports and other water-related recreational activities with its clear blue water and white sand beaches.
